misunderstood dharma

"We (CBI) were forced by ministry of external affairs officials not to follow Anderson's extradition," said B R Lall, former joint director of CBI who was in charge of the probe from April 1994 to July 1995.

This piece of news shows that how the concept of dharma is highly misunderstood by these administrators. when they were being pressurized by their masters in command they had a choice to stick on to what they believe was true. at that time they chose to stick on to the position. now that he is retired and knows that any statement will not effect his carrier he is making statement.
What is the use Mr Lal? You had your time and you did not act. whatever might have been the reason. if you felt that something was going wrong then rather than being part of it you could have quit. you could have gone to court you could have gone public. one can always argue that all these dont work in present day. but the question is not that it works or it does not work. by putting effort there was a bleak chance to make it happen but by maintaining his silence he saw to it that even the bleak change was not there.
now he is lamenting that he was pressurized by his masters. the pressure was always there and will always be there. but there will be few who will work against the pressure and do what they need to do others are doomed to be pressurized. an act of courage would have redeemed CBI from the clutches of the ruling parties.
act when you have chance there is no need of whining when it is over.
