My home
Surrounded by land that changes its colour with the changing of seasons. Connected to the earth, the water, the wind, the fire and the space in their subtle form. Arches of cow dung lines on the floor. Lime painted wall with the depiction of imagination in the traditional style. Waking up with the sound of bell as the lady of the house has completed her daily worship. Basket of flower being plucked for daily worship. Chants of hymns. Space for human and birds and beasts and to animate and inanimate. Decorated by bees and butterflies. Shade of fruitful trees above carpet of green grass. Dews with memory of sharad poornima. An active day break with service of mothers. Taking leave with the told and untold instructions. Shouting out to transfer the energy. Bodies anointed with soil and dust. A lazy afternoon, hiding away from the blazing sun. Washing face with the cool water just pulled out of the resounding well. Grouping with others, when the sun is retreating at the horizon. Laughing till the belly hurts. songs at sandhya. Little sorrow and little joy getting intermixed. visited by the the passer by and sanctified by touch of holy men. Home of every hungry body, mind and soul. a Sangam of beloved ones. chatting away leisurely. Eating with many plates served together. Flow of milk and honey. Feasting every day in quality and quantity. Stretching away the tiring day and getting rolled in the darkness of every night witnessed by the flickering lamp at the distance. A story or a humming melody to slip in the other state of consciousness, while the sleeping dog keeps vigil.
